libfile-counterfile-perl software package provides persistent counter class for Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-counterfile-perl
libfile-counterfile-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-counterfile-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-counterfile-perl *
You will get with libfile-counterfile-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
